How to use Usersnap on local development machines and staging sites.

Local Development Environments and Staging Sites

In order to use Usersnap with a local development machine (any other on-premise machine) or your staging site, we recommend activating a feature that the in-app browser screenshots are taken via the browser-in-built "media-record-API". You can also consider a forwarding service like PageKite.

Another option is to use our browser extensions they work in a local environment, too.

Whenever your URL goes like http(s)://localhost:(number), you have to use the above solution. But in general, Usersnap is not built for local environments, as you want to collect customer and user feedback with it :).
